Lighter on Robinhood Chain restricts 18 countries

Lighter launches on Robinhood Chain with its own list of 18 restricted countries, adding Singapore, Switzerland, the UAE and four sanctioned countries.

Lighter’s points program and perpetual futures on Robinhood Chain came with their own restricted-regions list, effective 10 August 2026 (Lighter docs). It names 18 countries: the 11 in Lighter’s main terms plus Singapore, Switzerland, the UAE, Belarus, Myanmar, Sudan and South Sudan.

What changes in our data

Singapore, Switzerland and the UAE are limited: the main Lighter app is open to them, but the Robinhood Chain deployment and its points are not. Belarus, Myanmar, Sudan and South Sudan are unverified for the main app, because they are under sanctions and the main terms do not name them.

Update, 17 October 2026: Lighter’s main terms now name Belarus, Myanmar and Sudan in their availability notice, and our geo-access test found the app blocks Belarus and Sudan, so all three are restricted. South Sudan joins Singapore, Switzerland and the UAE as limited. Details are on our Lighter page.
