Privacy policy
This site is built to be read without handing over personal data. There are no accounts, no cookies and no advertising trackers.
Who is responsible
This website is published by CryptoRestrictions.com ("we", "us"). We decide how the limited data described below is used, which makes us the controller for the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can reach us about anything in this policy at contact@cryptorestrictions.com.
The short version
- You cannot create an account here, and we do not ask for your name or email to use the site.
- We set no cookies and use no advertising, social media or cross-site tracking scripts.
- The availability checker, restriction explorer and search run in your browser. The countries and platforms you look up are not sent to us.
- We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.
What is processed when you visit
Hosting and security logs. The site is delivered through Cloudflare's network. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical details of each request: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. This is needed to deliver the page and to protect the site from abuse. We do not combine this data with anything else to identify you.
Aggregate analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It works without cookies, does not store anything on your device and does not fingerprint or follow individuals across sites. We only see totals, such as page views per page, referring sites and the country a visit came from.
Fonts, images and data files. These are served from our own domain. We do not load fonts, scripts or embeds from third-party networks.
If you email us
When you write to us, for example to report an error, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and to act on your request, and we delete correspondence once it is no longer needed, normally within 12 months. Please do not send account details, identity documents or wallet information: we never ask for them.
Newsletter
The newsletter has not launched and the site does not collect email addresses for it. If that changes, this policy will be updated first to name the provider, explain what is stored and describe how to unsubscribe.
Why we are allowed to process this data
We rely on our legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) in running a secure website, understanding in aggregate how it is used and answering people who contact us. These uses are limited, expected and have little impact on your privacy.
Who else handles data
Cloudflare, Inc. acts as our hosting and analytics provider and processes request data on our behalf. Because it runs a global network, requests may be handled outside your country, including in the United States. Cloudflare relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses for such transfers. Our email provider handles messages you send us. We share data with no one else unless the law requires it.
Links to other sites
Our pages link to exchanges, prediction markets, regulators and other sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover. We do not add tracking parameters to outbound links.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. In practice we hold personal data about you only if you have emailed us. To use any of these rights, write to contact@cryptorestrictions.com. We respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change how data is handled, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
