HTX blocks account registration and KYC from UK IP addresses; UK customers get a one-time 48-hour window to withdraw.

Primary source: HTX: Important notice regarding availability of HTX services in the United Kingdom (10 August 2026)

By CryptoRestrictions Research DeskReviewed by CryptoRestrictions Editorial ReviewUnited KingdomRestricted

HTX published a notice on 10 August 2026 saying it does not provide services to anyone resident in, located in or accessing the platform from the United Kingdom. Account registration and KYC can no longer be completed from a UK IP address. Existing UK accounts cannot deposit, trade or use HTX products, and their owners can ask customer support for a one-time 48-hour window to withdraw, subject to the UK’s personal remittances general licence.

The notice follows the UK’s designation of Huobi Global S.A. under its Russia sanctions on 26 May 2026, and the FCA’s legal action against HTX over illegal financial promotions, announced in February 2026.
