South Korea ordered domestic access to Polymarket blocked in August 2026, after the Korea Media and Communications Standards Commission approved the measure, CoinDesk reports. The regulator cited gambling concerns. CoinDesk counts more than 30 jurisdictions that now restrict Polymarket, on top of the countries Polymarket blocks itself.

What changes in our data

South Korea is not on Polymarket’s own list, so we now record it as limited for Polymarket, at medium confidence, rather than available.
