The Nevada Gaming Control Board announced on 24 July 2026 that Kalshi had agreed to a statewide geofence. On 18 May 2026 a Nevada state court had issued a preliminary injunction barring Kalshi from offering sports, election and entertainment contracts in Nevada. The Board says its investigators could still enter those contracts afterwards and moved to hold Kalshi in contempt.
To avoid contempt, Kalshi agreed to install a multi-source geofence from a third-party provider by 12 August 2026, or pay $120,000 a day until it is in place.
What changes in our data
Nevada is limited for Kalshi: the three covered categories are blocked. The injunction does not address Kalshi’s other categories.
