On 28 September 2026 Bitstamp told retail users of Bitstamp Europe S.A. in the EEA and Switzerland that their accounts will move to the Robinhood app.

What changed

  • New app, same provider. Eligible retail users can connect their Bitstamp account to the Robinhood app from 15 October 2026. Bitstamp says this is not a transfer of accounts to Robinhood: Bitstamp Europe S.A. stays the contractual counterparty.
  • Read-only after 14 November. For the first group, the Bitstamp interface turns read-only after 14 November 2026. History and statements stay viewable there; trading moves to the Robinhood app.
  • No transfers needed. Crypto and fiat balances do not have to be moved.
  • Institutions unaffected. Institutional and corporate clients are not part of the change.

What changes in our data

Nothing in the status data. Bitstamp’s EEA rows stay available, because the licensed entity and the service are unchanged; only the app changes.
