By CryptoRestrictions Research DeskReviewed by CryptoRestrictions Editorial ReviewAvailable

Bybit told EEA residents on 29 June 2026 that access to services on its global platform will be progressively limited, as part of its regulatory alignment in Europe.

What changed

  • Most EEA countries in scope. Affected users keep access to their assets while they move or close positions.
  • Malta excluded. Bybit EU’s MiCA licence is not passported to Malta, so Maltese residents are not part of the move.

What changes in our data

EEA markets stay available at high confidence, now citing Bybit EU GmbH’s Austrian MiCA licence. Malta stays available at medium confidence on the global platform.
