The Philippine SEC named MEXC, KuCoin and Kraken among exchanges accessible in the country without registration. The SEC notice is dated 4 August 2025. Decrypt reported that the sites were no longer reachable through PLDT, one of the largest internet providers, and BitPinas reported on 7 August that Globe had also begun blocking, with Smart reportedly restricting access.
