KuCoin EU’s website said its trading and deposit services were suspended on 4 February 2026, as reported by Trending Topics. Austria’s FMA then banned new business, and on 18 May 2026 said that KuCoin EU still may not start business operations.
What changes in our data
With KuCoin Global closed to new EEA users since November 2025, the EEA countries covered by KuCoin EU moved from available to restricted at high confidence, and Malta, which KuCoin EU never covered, to restricted at medium confidence.
On 16 October 2026 we reclassified them as limited under our rule for the EEA: KuCoin EU still has no trading or deposits, but its update of 30 June 2026 says assets on the platform remain available for withdrawal. France and the Netherlands stay restricted, because KuCoin’s own terms list them.
